Travel by train The easiest and cheapest way into town from Fiumicino is via the hourly non-stop first-class train from the airport station. More frequent & cheaper still is a stopping train, the Metropolitano service, that serves Rome's subsidiary stations, but not Termini.

Travel by bus The best way to get to Stadio Flamino is by Metro.  Metro line A and get of at (would you belive it) Flaminio. The stadium is about a ten min walk from there. It only takes about 10 mins on the metro from Termini to the Flamino stop. Lots of people would also get a taxi which will cost about 35,000 lire £12 sterling about 15 punts
Where to drink... A good place to grab a beer is the only Irish owned bar in Rome, Finnegans is 5 mins from the main train station and 5 mins from the coloseum, the address is Via Leonina 66, have fun and say 'Hi'  to Michaelfrom the the six nations team!!!

Built in 1959 for the '60 Rome Olympic Games, Stadio Flaminio will offer modern amenities for both the public, the athletes -- both human and equine -- and the press. When its extensive renovations are completed, the Stadium will boast all the necessary trappings of an up-to-date venue.

Italy's Six Nations' matches will be played in Rome rather than the country's northern rugby heartland, the Italian Rugby Union Federation have stated.

Italy joins England, Scotland, Ireland, Wales and France in the world's oldest international tournament. Italy is the first new tournament member since the French joined in 1910.

Flaminio is very well served by public transport.  The local transport authority have plenty of practice handling the 90,000 soccer fans of Lazio and Roma who play at the nearby Olympic Stadium every Sunday during the soccer season.
